Ladies Ministry

The ladies group meets once a month, on the second Wednesday night of each month, to fellowship with each other and make plans for touching the lives of others through our MINIS-tree. We use the word Minis-tree, instead of ministry, because the tree is symbolic. The roots represent our Lord, the trunk represents our directors, the branches represent areas of ministry, and the leaves represent the activities within each branch of ministry.

Our current ministries include an Outreach Branch, a Spiritual Growth Branch, a Service Branch and a Hospitality Branch.

Some activities of the Outreach Branch are:

To provide care and food for the sick, elderly, shut-ins, or for families suffering the loss of a loved one.
To help the needy in our community (ECHO, etc.).
To raise money for Missions (Christmas Missions Fair).

Some activities of the Spiritual Growth Branch are:

To utilize a "prayer chain" to be activated by anyone with a need or a request.
To organize the Women's Retreat
"Scripture Seekers" is a ladies home bible study each month.

Some activities of the Service Branch are:

Provide activities for our Senior Citizen Ministry.
Provide Nursery workers
Provide clean baptismal robes & towels
To take charge in the planning and cleaning up of all church dinners
To take charge of all Bridal and Baby Showers.

Some activities of the Hospitality Branch are:

To provide meals, and possibly housing, for guests.
To provide greeters for Sunday morning and to send post cards to visitors.
To organize the Christmas, Valentine's, Mother's Day, and Father's Day activities.

Other activities include:

Taking "recovery kits" to church members who have had surgery.
Craft Days.

These are just a few of the things our wonderful Ladies Ministry does. All ladies are welcome and encouraged to get involved.
