CARE
CARE Ministry is also about helping people to get connected relationally. Life and ministry in the church is about relationships. We need each other to grow and mature spiritually and to effectively carry out the ministry of Jesus Christ. Our CARE ministry is a key way that we help people get connected relationally into the CCCC family. Our goal, at Capital City Christian Church, is to see that everyone gets connected relationally and in ministry. CARE Ministry Meets on Sunday evenings to provide that relational growth.
Every member of the body is a minister (servant) equipped and empowered by God to serve in a unique way in the body of Christ so the ministry of Jesus Christ can be effectively carried out in the world today. Service in God’s Kingdom, for Christians, is not something optional, it is our response to what God has done for us in Christ and for what He is doing in us through the Holy Spirit (see Romans 12:1-9; 1 Peter 4:10-11; and Ephesians 2:8-10). When we serve where God is calling us and empowering us to serve, then we will grow and mature spiritually and so will the body of Christ–the church.
Here is how CARE Ministry works:
We currently have three CARE teams that each meet on Sunday evenings for a small group meeting. Each of these teams serves once a month on Sunday morning for what we call IMPACT Ministry. The CARE team that serves on their IMPACT Sunday are responsible for our first impressions to our guests. We do everything we can to share the love of Christ with our guests, so that they feel welcome, important, and that Christ truly cares that they are there. CARE teams facilitate as greeters, take care of the hospitality room, and keep someone at our hospitality table in the front foyer to give first time guests assistance finding their way around Capital City Christian Church.
